Subsequently, the “side by side” dynamic is examined throughout the book with figures like Ángeles Pastor, Isabel Freire de Matos, Pura Belpré, Arturo Schomburg, Nicholasa Mohr, Sonia Manzano, Eric Velasquez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, to name a few.
